Hello!
The YAs had a Physical Recreation activity on 29 July 2015 as part of our NYAA Gold. The Physical Recreation I/C, Chelsea, has planned a series of activities for us to be carried out over the next few months. These activities will be of progressive nature so that we can keep track of our own physical improvement. :)
The day's activity started off with some basic Pilates warm ups and work outs, such as roll-ups, rolling like a ball, saw, single-leg circles, chest lifts and the 100. (See http://pilates.about.com/od/pilatesmat/tp/BeginnerExercises.htm for some reference!)

After the Pilates session, it was time for soccer! Firstly, Chelsea went through some of the basic techniques of soccer with us, such as passing, dribbling, goal-keeping and scoring.
Although most of us were not very familiar with soccer, it was heartening to see everyone try out the drills eagerly, even despite the intense afternoon heat and sun! After the drills, we also played a short match amongst ourselves after we were warmed up with the ball :)

Lastly, we managed to rope the Guiders in to join us in our impromptu Captain's Ball game! It was definitely a great bonding activity for us and the Guiders, where we got to see another side of the Guiders outside serious discussions and work 😄
It was a very refreshing physical recreation for most of us as it was our first time attempting such exercises; we are definitely looking to see what's in store for us during the next physical recreation 集合!
